A collection of some favorite materials I've collected over the years...

Material: Vintage Tin --> Adds a cozy rustic feel to a space especially next to the stark white and soft worn wood flooring

Material: Deep Wood --> Everything from the floor to ceiling to even the tub is a deep rich wood finish. This adds a rustic warmth to the space especially with the natural backdrop. It's realistic and inviting.

Material: Chicken Wire ---> great clever idea to turn basic chicken wire into a photo frame backdrop. It makes the frame less harsh and inviting. Also perfect for vintage photos.

Material: Unfinished Wood --> The unfinished ceiling beams matched with the deep rustic floor panels makes for a rich textural kitchen. They work well off each other and contrast with the sleek grey cabinets and stark white island perfectly.

Material: Driftwood --> Again, natural unfinished driftwood table contrasts greatly with the white walls and rich gold mirrors.

Material: Cork --> Cork boards are great accessories to have near an office desk. In this case, it was applied tastefully framed behind the desk in order to pin reminders and photos. It also goes nicely with the white wood and silver nail heads.

Material: Barn Door --> A new trend popping up is the use of sliding barn doors as interior residential doors. It adds a nice change from the traditional flush door and can be great for space saving. They also add a fun rustic quality to a room.

Material: Recycled Tshirts --> These fun whimsical pillows are actually constructed out of recycled tshirts and sweaters. DIY crafts has become a growing trend and if done well, can add alot of personality to a room.

Material: Recycled Bicycle --> Very clever and unique! Definitely adds unexpected character to an otherwise generic bathroom.

Material: Pearl Accents --> This lamp by Candice Olson is a great example of subtle classiness. The reflective pearl applique adds a touch of glitz but is not overwhelming or attention grabbing. It's subtle elegance would fit into any room.

Material: Vintage Magazine Covers --> Every lady loves Vogue, what better way to display them!

Material: Old Factory Parts --> Industrial scraps made beautiful, Bella Luna is a great unique treasure maker I found at market this year.

Material: Tree Branch --> Organic and beautiful, nature adds such personal and spiritual touches to a room.

Material: Chalk Wall --> Adults like chalk too! Great for all ages, adds such character to a family or office room. Can be as small as name tagging mason jars to a whole wall.

Material: Rustic Wood --> What a great addition to the kitchen, warm and inviting.
